Medal group of five:

British Empire Medal, EIIR Civil issue (REUBEN CARTER), 1914 - 15 Star (M.10115 R. CARTER. E.A.4., R. N.), 1914 - 1920 British War Medal, Victory Medal (Both: M.10115 R. CARTER. E.A.3., R. N.), Royal Navy Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, GVR issue (M.10115 R. CARTER. C.E.A.2., H. M. S. PEMBROKE).

B.E.M. LG: 1/1/1955. With original citation: Presentation Admiralty House, Friday, 22nd April 1955.
Mr Reuben Carter is a Laboratory Mechanic at the Admiralty Signal and Radar Establishment, Portsmouth, a post he has held for the past 15 years. After 22 years in the Royal Navy, Mr. Carter joined the R.N. Signal School in 1936. He is an excellent craftsman and has been employed on every type of work in the Establishment's Workshop. He carried out his duties in a most praiseworthy manner during the transfer of the main workshops and the establishment from Witley to Portsdown. He continues to display in his work in connection with an important guided Missile project, zeal and application to duty of the highest order.

Lot includes the following original documents: - B.E.M. presentation Admiraly House citation with a ceremonial photograph, letter from the Prime Minister dated 28/12/1954, congratulatory letter from the Chief Scientist, Portsdown dated 4/1/1955, congratulatory letter from the Chief Royal Naval Scientific Service dated 3/1/1955 and a congratulatory letter from the Admiralty Signal and Radar Establishement dated 3/1/1955.
